"Willem has helped me to manage and overcome pain and limitations resulting from degenerative disk disease in my spine & neck which affected my arm and hips as well. I have had therapy for this on several previous occasions and did not find it to be helpful. His treatments are targeted and specific, he methodically measures to verify progress after every treatment during each session. Like a detective, he searches to find the exact locations causing pain and dysfunction and deals with them systematically and repeatedly. Perhaps most importantly, he deals with me as a whole person, and not simply a collection of malfunctioning parts - this has made meal feel invested in my own progress." Bonny P. October 26, 2007 "I have been struggling with neck, shoulder, and upper back pain for years. In the fall of 2007 my physiatrist referred me to Willem Verweij & Associates Physical Therapy. I began working with Julie and I was immediately impressed with the way she really listened to how I was feeling so she could develop the best plan of action for me. In the short time we have been working on my pain issues, I have felt major improvements. I have full range of motion in my neck and I am able to fall asleep much easier at night. Julie is a true professional and I am grateful that I have had an opportunity to work with her." Stacy L. September, 2007 "It was my good fortune to be referred to Willem Verweij Physical Therapy for problems 7 years after hip replacement surgery. Willem is the therapist that I worked with and I have to say that it was a very positive and successful experience for me. Willem actively listened to what I said and then designed therapy sessions that were unique to my situation. He is an EXCELLENT problem solver and is creative in finding solutions to any situation that arises. I was especially impressed with his manual therapy techniques. His exercises were clearly explained and progressive so that I was challenged, but still was able to continuously reach new goals. I left each session feeling better than when I arrived and after several months, I no longer needed therapy sessions. I found the therapy work place environment had a lot of positive energy that made it a comfortable place to be. I would highly recommend the services offered at Willem Verweij Physical Therapy." Libby C. "I began seeing Tom for rehab after a total hip replacement. When pain began limiting my rehabilitation, Tom took the time to systematically run tests to decipher the cause of my pain so we could find a solution for it and get back to meeting my goals for therapy. I have been impressed with Tom’s attentiveness and infinite patience, and his complete dedication to my specific case has been remarkable. Most of all, I have enjoyed coming to my sessions because of Tom’s positive attitude and constant encouragement. He is a gifted and knowledgeable professional, passionate not only about his work, but in making my rehabilitation a success." Terri O. |
